Extended Adoptive Family Question: Has this happened to any other adopted adults?

From reading the article, it sounds more like the grandfather got miffed that she did an interview about him (and the family in general) without telling him about it and over-reacted. I doubt the rest of the extended family had a problem with it, but are probably too concerned about being disowned as well to stick up for their adopted relative.
