When do i no if i can use fleece bedding?

i have some fleece bedding that was washed about 3 times and then washed again with fabric softener on acedent and then washed about 4 more times without it then forgotten for a month while i seached for a bigger cage i was wondering is there any way i could test it make sure its ready to be used
