Im going to college away from my gf?

Ive been with my gf for 3 weeks and weve been best friends for months before i asked her out. ive never cared for another girl so much. i just found out i got accepted to the college of my choice for the fall semester, which starts in about a month. i have no choice but to attend because if i dont i woulnt have a place to live. should we split up now, or should we enjoy the time we have together. i know the sooner i break up w/ her the less painfull it will be but i have so much fun just being around her. i know a long distance relationship woulnt work because i will be so busy w/ school and i will worrie about her constantly. even if we do end up breaking up i still want her to be one on my closest friends. what should i do???? and advice or opinions on the matter???
