Why not the ricky ponting should be banned from cricket?(for claiming a bouncd catch of dhoni)?

I know that particular catch you are talking about, that catch was a blatant bounced catch, it bounced a foot in front of him... The Ponting dismissal is a different story, you can still see his hands on the ball with the fingers under it, yes it does look like the ball has hit the ground, but at what part do you say its dropped or caught??.. In his mind he caught it of which he appealed for it... Even frame by frame ceases to say it was dropped or caught.
