What is a good shampoo and conditioner for natural (no perm/chemicals) african american hair?

i am an african american male and i always keep my hair in braids and i have been using pantene for ppl of color for relaxed and natural hair for a while now. but i have recently been hearing that this shampoo contains sulfate which strips the hair and dries the hair out. so i was wondering, what would be a good shampoo and conditioner to use for my natural hair? i have heard that cream of nature is a good shampoo and conditer but i was not sure. and i have also heard something like yuu can put egg yolk in yur hair to give yur hair protein, is this tru? and also please, any tips on growing natural hair and brainds and getting splits ends clipped amd any other kind of hair tips would help. thanks.
