He may like you, but if you are a friend with his gf, you should stay away and not acknowledge it. A move like stealing a friend's bf could ruin you. If he likes you and really wants to be with you, he'd properly break up with his gf and ask you out. And before you say yes, I would talk to your girl friend to see if she minds.
