In AZ, does setting aside/vacating the judgment of guilt, mean that my felony is now a misdemeanor?

I was granted a set aside/vacate of judgment of guilt last year for my old felony conviction. I would really like to become a police officer, but I need my felony to become a misdemeanor or get a pardon by the governor. I actually have a date scheduled for my pardon hearing, but a woman from the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency told me that if I can get my felony dropped down to a misdemeanor, there would be no need for a pardon hearing. At the same time, a clerk from the court here in AZ told me the set aside (etc) that I was granted, meant that my felony was now a misdemeanor. Hmmmm...not sure. Can anyone help?
