How do I tell whether she's bi and likes me or not? Should I confess?

I'm a closet biual, though you can kind of tell I'm not completely straight. I have a good friend who I know is attracted to men, but I'm not sure about women. I'm attracted to her, though, and I think she may be to me. She is constantly complementing me (and I her) and she often asks for hugs that seem to last longer than merely platonic ones. I once had to spend the night with her and share a bed, and I guess you could say we semi-'cuddled.' I'm not ashamed of my uality, but I don't want to have to deal with the far-reaching consequences of coming out for a while. I wouldn't mind coming out to her, but this dilema is in the way. What should I do? How can I tell if she's bi or not?
