Why dose it seem like a sudden build up?

why dose it seem like a sudden build up of natural disasters since the start of the new year i am not on about the 2012 thing but there have been a fair few around the world in different countries floods in Australia earth quake in pakistan floods in brazil soon to apparently be floods here in the UK were i live the surrounding area is flooded at the moment but it all ways dose that nothing big just my dog wont get it's long walk. but after one Natural disaster dose another all ways follow.
