Did I over react to what my boyfriend (now ex) did to me?

You did the right thing. He has no respect for your privacy, and needs to learn when to disconnect, literally. He totally invaded your privacy, and should have hung up when he heard you talking and realized it wasn't to you. What makes it worse, he played it for his family! That goes beyond disrespecting your privacy, that goes into violating it! You did the right thing, and DON'T get back with him. Imagine what else he would tape and play for his family/friends. You quit while you were ahead, and that is NOT overreacting. Good for you, you did teh right thing!
